Find hitachi version with motherbord only

Hello everyone,

Is it possible to identify the DVD drives boardtype without having the drive itself.

I received 3 DVD drive boards with a bad flashed TSOP. Because I want to reprogram the TSOPS I need to know wich firmware is compatible.

On all 3 driveboards there is a reading JD5x-1. Does this mean the firmware must be 59? Because I'm certain one of the boards came out a 78 drive.

78/79 will have epoxy...quote from OPA

v40 firmware are supported on v27 thru v40 drives.
v59 firmware are supported on v46 thru v59 drives.
v79 firmware are supported on v78 thru v79 drives.

Hi guys..I refurbish xboxes for a small business and this would be golden for us to lower our return rates. I have procured the ISO, but would like further direction on how I might burn this. Not looking for you to spell it out for me here, just links to resources that might give me some direction . My first attempt, by following a video tutorial I found, was unsuccessful. Either get "to play this game, please insert into xbox 360" or the disc simply will not read.
