hey guys, im a beginner and i really dont know much about all this stuff, ive recently downloaded fifa 2008 and have successfully burnt it on a DL verbatim, everything works but i really want to play online, so i ran a stealth check with xbox backup creator and got a pass for everything:

does this mean that i can play fifa 2008/other games that pass online without getting banned from xbox live? any help would be much appreciated

Yes and No.
It's like rolling the dice if microsoft detects any suspicious data they will ban your xbox360 and you can play online as long as microsoft don't detect you.
Going online with a backup is not recommended.

no. live checks only the disks right now. you will never know when they implement a new/different method of checking until it is too late. just play your original disk when online.

Not sure that banning people is a quite good for microsoft and what they really want.

1) Gamers cannot pay anymore for the live. Less $$$ for microsoft.
2) People are playing with the firmware and it will screw up database of microsoft... (People find a solution to a problem....).
3) Microsoft plans are to sell games on demand, video on demand and music on demand. The protection is the difference between X-Box360 (private key). If you are able to flash all X-Box "on demand", it means that a X-Box could be cloned to thousand of others X-Boxes.
It also means that you are able to "Create a private key and generate a public key. Store this key in the firmware".
It also means that you are able to generate "generic" content for these flashed X-Boxes, and you are able to decode content that have been made specific for a X-Box then reencode this content for these generic X-Boxes.

They just have to show to game producer that they care about piracy...

one big, big reason is that banning from live also prevents live hacks. some time ago on xbox 1, there were people who modified PGR2 game data so cars would go much faster, had better controls etc.. and it worked online.
