Hi i got a new 360 in from a mate and he let me swap out mine with his as his had the HDMI port and he didnt need/want one as he has no HDTV.

i had a clear case on mine with LED's etc and a talismoon whisper fan, so i set about swappin out everything and quickly found the 4 pin header had been relpaced on the new mobo with a 3 pin variant.

to cut a long story short i not only blew the original fans but the 3 pin header on the new mobo (no flaming plz wires are not the same on fans even though youd think they were lol). i gave my m8 my working 360 with new case and fans etc and i am left with the new 360 with a fooked header pin.

visually the board is perfect no burns or bad solder or marked traces etc stumped as to why the header is dead.

ATM got the box running temp on 12V mod with XCM fan but it is loud as hell and yesterday one of the fans (CPU one) has stopped spinning so its on its way out.

any1 have any ideas? any help is greatly appreciated.

no idea about making it work at standard voltage with a HDMi...but you can bridge one of the transistors to work both fans at 12v (i'll post a pic later today...just busy atm) and i'll post a pic of my volt map too
