*Update*| Version Release Date | | 2.0.6690.0 April 18, 2008 Download |
This update contains code to ‘prepare for future growth of the service.’ There are no other changes or enhancements in this update… in other words no new features. ok why not. Kernel 6690 can still be downgraded using the timing attack. It depends on a vulnerable CB, either 1888, 1903 or 1920, not 1921.

Good collection But they have 7371 wich size is 7.5 MB (2.0.7371.0.rar) And in the link from microsoft that i posted in my previous message 7371 is 76mb ($SystemUpdate_Fall08_7371.zip) Why ?¿ Here are more info about all the "official kernel releases", security patches, etc... is well documented, i suggest to put this link in the first post http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_System_Software---------------- Btw... wich is the "last vulnerable" kernel that i can install from CD-rom (previous to 8498)

Each "fuseline" has 64bit, and they are blowing 4 bits per update. Makes 5x16 = 80 updates.

also, with the 'current' 8498 update, CB is altered, and iirc, the 2nd fuseline has an additional efuse blown also which revokes the older CB versions. thus 8498 increments the standard ldv fuseline (1 or sum of lines xyz ? not sure) and sets a specific bit (as opposed to incrementing) in fuseline 2. Im curious to learn is dash / kernel 8498+ also require/check (CB 8498 and/or fuseline2 bitxx) to function

The first time an update blow an efuse was in 4552... after this, has been 11 updates (from wikipedia http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xbox_360_System_Software ) Each "fuseline" has 64bit, and they are blowing 4 bits per update... 11 updates x 4 bits = 44 <---- the maximun blowed fuses that a 360 can have actually without hacking 64 bits in a fuseline - 44 max actually = 20 <----- bits remaining in fuseline 1 20 bits / 4 bits = 5 <---- remaining updates to blow full fuseline 1 --------------------------------------------------- But i have seen another updates that are not in the list of wikipedia, this ones blows efuses? how was them distributed?, i suppose that are betas from live http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=12128.0http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=12136.0And they are blowing more efuses to block CB.. ¿in fuseline 2?... mmm interesting Maybe fuselines 8, 9, 10, 11 are not reserved for kernel updates, i guess that there is no way to know this untill they use them ------ If they blow fuses to patch other things (like CB) they are reducing this 80 theorical maximun updates

fuseline 2 has been used to revoke previous CB versions since 1920 and the arrival of Zephyr, Falcon etc
