Ok, so back a few days back I issued young Giggles a challenge: http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=8950.msg56941#msg56941Giggles has bravely picked up the challenge and the Infectus device has been shipped by our friend Oscar over at www.hardstore.com (for all your hacking and dubious security needs  Order now to avoid disappointment at Christmas ). Sadly the addon wasn't available when Giggles picked up the challenge (but it's coming soon and reasonably priced too. Start nagging your parents now in time for Christmas) so he has had to build his own addon. We chatted about this and he has assured me he is just the man for the job. So, with luck Giggle's mum has now driven him to the electronics store and he's picked up the parts he needs..... Hopefully Giggles can build his own add on while we wait for the infectus to arrive..... I want to use this thread to keep track of Giggles "adventures in downgrading", we're playing for high stakes here, a free infectus and hero status if he succeeds versus public ridicule if he fails. To prove he has successfully downgraded I need several pieces of proof: 1) Receive your free Infectus and post here (1 Achievement point) 2) A photo of your serial number and face plus DVD key in PM (2 Achievement points) 3) A flash dump (3 Achievement points) 4) A photo of v1888 booting and giggles face (5 Achievement points) 5) CPU key to unlock KV from dump in (2) and matches serial and DVD key plus photo (10 Achievement points) 6) Tutorial (15 Achievement points) 1, 4 & 5 are required to win. Photo to be full face "infectus Inside" followed by CPU KEY (at least 12 chars to be readable from 32). The safety & privacy of all information (CPU KEY & KV etc) required to prove each point is guaranteed. Only "trophy photo" will be made available publicly. Feel free to comment but ONLY helpful/supportive comments are allowed. I have given Giggles a tough time in the past but he's going to get help and support here. Let's see if his jaw is "lantern" and his chest "hairy", indeed is Giggles a Bruce's Bruce or a bit of a Sheila? |

a well worthy project which with face recognition software should have the rozzers knocking at your door in a matter of hours (a well worthy sacrifice ) Im assuming he gets negative points for mentioning unbanning consoles and swapping keyvaults ? |

Hehehe, I can't wait to see the results. It doesn't seem like a particularly difficult task, just time consuming.
Good luck Gigs. Maybe finally you can gain some respect instead of constant ridicule (although, you have had quite a few "here's your sign" moments when it comes to Xbox 360s, mostly due to lack of research and understanding).

Alright here I am, now - I will be ordering the components TONIGHT from farnels. I will be ordering everything except the PCB and the pin headers...my reason for this is because farnel requires you to have a minimum quantity of certain components (example 50) and 50 PCB's and 50 pin headers brings the cost sky high....I have had to order in quantity's of 50 for things like resistors and capacitors, but no problem because it's still cheaper than what I can get here (I can't get everything where I live just to note) - just to make this clear. If you can get individual components by all means THIS IS BETTER and much cheaper, still the overall cost for me (Australian Dollars) is around $25 including everything (shipping etc).

UPDATE: Because I have the time to post (and I didn't at the time) I have now ordered the components, they should come in 4-5 days (nothing gets posted, shipped etc here on the weekends and it takes 3 days express post). The total cost for components including GST (tax) in Australian dollars, was $12.50 + $10 for express postage

Picture of everything :  I have sent robinsod "Achievement Two" and also a dump of my NAND robinsod, could you please confirm to our "public" that I have unlocked Achievements: One, Two and Three gigabite |

*a minor update*: I have decided, that tomorrow...I will walk to the shops and get my PCB and pin headers...and more wire - before I go ahead, if anyone could quickly recommend wich "version" of board I should build that is "the best" i'd appreciate it [i've seen a couple of different "versions" SOWA...ChipD etc]. If it makes a difference I WILL NOT be etching my own PCB (would like to,and I have done it before, but don't have the tools and it's gotta be easy, as I have to make a tutorial out of it) - cheers
