I first had the three red lights and opened it up and cleaned my gpu and cpu and put sliver oxide on them and moded the x clamp by taking them out and using bolts to hold the heat sinks in place thinking all the problems are done but when i turn it on and put the game "gun" in it just stayed black and when i put in "lost planet" it shows the capcom screen then goes black and nothing tried to turn the 360 of with controller didn’t work so i turned it off by the consol my dad is also helping me with this. hey thinks its the first memory chip and he said i have to short circuit it  Huh no idea how to or what to do i have a "20 g version 01.1 with a Samson dvd drive the MFR date is 2006-03-03" if any one could be so kind as to shed some light on my problem  please do so this 360 is driving me crazy and i also added a small fan inside on the heat sink with a the copper tube through it". thanks for the help it would be highly appreciated.

You dad is a n00b...do not short circuit anything, if you have done the X clamp method (and replaced your thermal paste with AS5 (or anything else)...properly - (computer related but same principal...customer didn't apply thermal paste properly...after I did it, temp was cut by 30 degrees) ) then what you need to do is raise your fan voltage to 12v - tutorials everywhere (yes you WILL need to solder)...then go ahead and test whatever you want, should be fixed

I tried when the Xbox was apart, placed a 110 Volt  fan over top of the MB. It kept the heat sinks slightly warm to the touch, so I believe the box is not over heating.  It will play DVD movies, small arcade games saved to HD, but try to play any dvd games or saved large memory games off my HD it freezes loading to memory,  or cache.

I've repasted several times with AS5, cleaned the access off, inspected the cpu and gpu which looked like it did have a nice even film across them, tried different tightness on the heat sink screws, still won't play any large games.

Any other suggestions would be appreciated.
