arnezami: did you try to patch the MachineCheck interrupt at 0x200 to output / post ? that would be the next logical step as one of the cores probably got thrown there.
You asked what would be the best way to involve the community in this project ? IMHO it would be a simple way to test new versions of the rebooter after modification - and that can be achieved by adapting your code so it loads as a normal elf from the new elf loaders (you mentioned that your working on it already in another thread)

Be quiet & patient... PPC disassembly is complicated stuff. Just reading this thread is giving me headache. I take my hat off to you guys who can reverse all this coding. At college, I studied Visual Basic & Pascal. I dropped out before my first year was finished. I really regret not staying on and studying. I'm 25 now... I myself can only dream... Time to get my ass off to University. |

It has been said, the rebooter has been done. however, it is not going to be released, or you won't see it very soon(1 day, 2 years or forever). guess the new update will make microsoft win the hacking war again. |

It has been said, the rebooter has been done. however, it is not going to be released, or you won't see it very soon(1 day, 2 years or forever). guess the new update will make microsoft win the hacking war again. Iīve read some people stating the same thing as you, but some other people say that previous attempts were not completed. Any information about what you are saying? Arnezami said a month and a half ago that he would be working on the project for the time being, and we donīt know anything more. No news or updates at the moment. I want to believe that you are wrong and everything is work in progress, as a lot of people all over the world are expecting news from him  . Greetings from Spain. |

this project never got finished and isnt therefore complete. other did do the legwork and have completed the rebooter but have chosen not to make the finding public. whether other ppl involved can cover the same gorund and do / rls it is debateable (in the short term)

If they've not released it, it's most likely for a very good reason. Furthermore I would rather there be misinformation on it not working than information that it does. That will just make MS more likely to fix it if it's not been fixed. Loose lips sink ships.

Iīm not whining, only looking for information here as A LOT of people in a important spanish forum I usually frequent are buying new systems or keeping them without the dash update only because of hackerīs work, and as nobody knows exactly what to expect and there are no news at all, the morale is going down really quick. Anyway, Thereīs no reason to be rude. |

I have heard about this mysterious rebooter for so long (literally atleast an year from a close friend) I dont give 2 $#!ts about it anymore all my friend trolls me with is, UGHHH they cant release it because of X reason, always an excuse. Its probably all fake anyways. The only proof I have it might have existed is the leaked one which according to him is an early alpha.
