Newbie questions.........Please Help

I am very new to this and need some info. If I am trying to use Schtrom360Xtract or XBC, do I need a certain dvd-rom in my PC to get the raw dump? I have tried using wxRipper with the hot swap method, but I don't think that I am getting the correct "magic" number. The dump freezes right after the first jump point. I tried using Hitch (7.95g), then putting in PGR3 for the "magic" number, then putting in Madden 08. The "magic" number I get from PGR3 is the same as Hitch. SHouldn't it be different? It also doesn't recognize PGR3 like it shows in the tutorials. Please help.

Over 40 people looked at this thread and not one can answer these questions? I have looked through many threads, done many searches, and went to many different websites. I just can't find current information or a tutorial that actually works for me. It seems like there is something missing. I have read that you need the Samsung dvd-rom in order to use Schtrom360Xtract or XBC, but it is always old info, are there any different ones now? Any halp you can give at this point would be appreciated.
