thx for the reply Robinsod, tried that but for some reason my console will not boot up. I'm thinking it may have been a bad flash.

Sounds like a bad flash to me if your console will not boot and if Infectus cannot detect your nand. I would have a look at Arakons external power diagram as it explains how to provide external power to your 360 so that infectus can detect your nand.

http://www.infectus.biz/forum/index.php?topic=160.0

I had the exact same issue, read the flash correctly but when I went to write it, infectus flashed some bad data. My Xbox 360 wouldn't power on and Infectus couldn't detect my nand. I read up on the external power fix and unsuccessfully flashed my 360 another 15-20 times before I found the correct 360 Nand Installation diagram that included the V wire. Without the V wire Infectus corrupted my flash, after installing it, everything worked perectly and still does

I installed my Ground wire to the right of the 5V

Hope that helps Smiley

thx for the reply and thx to Uberfry's advice, I just successfully did Arakons bad flash method and I got my console to boot!!!

Also thx to Arakon for your great tutorial!

I have a similar problem, that my 360 refuses to power on. I made a backup of my flash, I can see "microsoft" in the dump, so it looks like a valid one. Infectus no longer detects the flash, it now reads it as A822. I erased the flash, after the backup... So the 360 won't power on and has a blank nand flash. BTW, at least two of the wires detached and I had to re-solder them. I tryed removing my infectus and the addon, but with or without, my 360 still won't power on. I'm wondering how the 360 behaves, with a blank flash, if I can reload my valid dump, should it power on again or is my 360 damaged....? The 360 is getting power, I can see the infectus 2 chip leds are on. Thanks alot.

if the flash is bad, the console won't turn on at all.
A822 is the basic "bad flash" response. follow my bad flash fix tutorial and it will work.
