Someone brought me their 360 because it won't read discs anymore.  It is a Hitachi V78 drive.  I can't use toolbox 4.0 to get the key because you need to insert a movie/game for 20 secs to get it to read the firmware.  Since the laser isn't working to read the game, I can't get the key.  Is there any other way without desoldering the TSOP and using a programmer?

Sorry...I forgot to mention.  I need the key so that I can replace the drive.  Another possibility I guess would be to swap lasers.  Will a v59 laser work in a v78?
