I noticed the way the NES emulator works for the xbox 360 is through java and that the xbox 360 controller output singals are sent to the PC side and made to emulate the keyboard input singals. Since I was able to use my Radeon X850 XT Platinum Edition 256 card and output my PC screen to my 50 inch tv. Would it be possible to use a USB mouse\keyboard and in theory write a java application to do the same as the xbox 360 controller does in the NES emulaotr? ie: (send the USB mouse\keyboard output singals from the xbox 360 side to the java application running PC side and emulate the USB mouse\keyboard input signals). I want to be able to play call of duty 2 (pc version), among other games on my 50 inch tv, I would use a wireless mouse\keyboard combo but I don't think the signals would reach through the walls in my house. I hope you understand what I'm asking and want to achieve.

1: Turn on the xbox 360 and through MCE run the java application on the PC side.
(added option: possibly starting the game of choice also on PC side)

2: Switch over to video 2 on my tv, so I can view the PC screen on my tv.

3: Use the Xbox 360 USB mouse\keyboard to control the PC side of things.

You guys have any input on what I'm trying to achieve, or any information regarding anything I stated above?

Thanks

chances are there'd be a lag between key press and response on the PC, which could well ruin the game.

So it could be possible to achieve this though? How much lag would there be? I would try to get the most optimized code. Even if no gaming would be possible it would still be neat to surf the web on that screen size. Sof if it would be possible that would give me enough inspiration to try and code something along the lines. Thanks for respodning, people over at xbox scene haven't responded once.

it is possible, how much lag depends on lots of things.. the hardest part is probably to make a java app emulate a game controller or keyboard on the PC side.

I spoke with someone on the xbox 360 chat support and asked if a USB mouse could be used, this person said no. So that brings me back to if the USB mouse can't be recognized, is it still possible to use one as I mentioned?

Here is something funny, I asked a different support agent about the USB mouse being usable on the Xbox 360 and they said they had no information regarding this topic. So they couldn't give me a yes or no answer.  Cheesy

I'm sure your 50 inch tv Has a dvi port. Buy a long dvi cable to hook up from your computer to your tv. Why use xbox anyway if you want to run web browser and CO2 PC anyway??

It doesn't have a dvi port.  Well the reason why is because, it doesn't have a DVI port like I mentioned. Also another reason is because 50 inch VS 17 inch. Smiley
