I'm a complete n00b when it comes to hacking, however I was curious to know if it would be at all possible to create an emulator to allow PC Games to be played on the XBOX 360.

I figure that you'd at least need an extremely stripped down version of XP with specialty drivers created for the unique parts inside, and also for the 360 controllers.
You'd obviously also need to hack the firmware on the DVD (this seems to be the easy part).

Does anybody know if this has been done yet or at least attempted?

Because after doing a little bit of searching through all of this I've realised we've got some ridiculously talented people working in this area trying to similar things happening.

I don't want it to have to boot up like windows, however I would like to be able to play the PC games from the games menu of the 360 dashboard.

If this has already been discussed please point me in the right direction of it!

I do NOT give support by email, PM, ICQ or whatever. Anyone annoying me that way will have his balls removed. With a rusty butterknife. Slowly. And I'll enjoy doing it.
