Hey guys, working on my 360 and I decided I wanted to hook up my case leds to my fader 360, so I run a wire from each one to the point on the fader 360 (if it helps, there are 5 leds each with there own supply of 12v with a 1/4w resistor)...no problem works fine (holding wires together with fingers, tested each led as I went along and I didn't short any wires to anything), then they all went out....and won't turn back on, except the ROL leds are still functioning perfectly fine...all of the leds still work fine[-and no resistors are needed for the connection from the fader to the led as the right amount of power is being supplied-](as when I turn on the console the ROL leds stop pulsating and go normal and the case leds ALL work fine)...the soldering is 100% all correct no chance of short's or anything as each open connection is taped or hot glued and secure.  I tried everything I could think of (tried testing 1 led..very short wire...nothing, unplug PSU etc etc but still nothing).  Sorry for the post having lots of "...." and things, it's late at night so forgive me...if I could get any help or reason why this is happening i'd appreciate it

thanks guys

EDIT: I'm getting different readings (I know the voltage goes higher and lower...) i'm getting anywhere from 0-2.05v and sometimes that goes up as time goes by...sometimes 5.4v...I have spare rf boards here which I can use to test the fader 360 - but I want to know the fader 360 is not breaking the rf board (for whatever reason...)before I solder it in

Couldn't edit my other post...just installed fader 360 into a brand new working rf board, ROL lights work fine however NO lights work that are connected to the H1 point (they don't fade but they work if I turn the console on), Sad ??

the instructions clearly points out that H1 supplies 3.3V, so you connect the positive side of the LEDs to H1 and the negative side to ground. So you'll have to change your setup. I suggest to post your questions regarding sickmods products at:
http://forums.sickmods.net

You'll get quicker responses there.

Yeah mate I know that, problem is even if I directly connect 1 LED (which requires 3.3v to run) to H1 then connect the other leg to ground it still won't fade...?

My friend, I have all the time in the world...however..you are wasting your time by making a post about my post every time I post...now who's the "postwhore" - on a side not, not making another thread i'm considering getting an XERC CME SE for my 360 now I mostly play racing games so will the leds will react more to the crashes or the revs Huh  I'm also seeing the same problem again, that is I will have 1 wireless or USB controller active yet I will have the (laying the console flat) top left led dim and brighten and the bottom led occasionally go on and of or dim (I have full batteries)...all soldering is correct but the problem seems to go away when I turn the console of and enable the fader 360 (as I put a switch between ground), I read someone on pablots forums had the same problem and I think (pablot) said it was a cold solder joint somewhere - however I re touched all my points and I even re touched all the fader 360's points - still the same problem, also just got a sick idea...does the XERC CME SE or Pulse VU have the..."physics/power" to turn the leds on and off to music, while the console is off (assuming there is something connected to the "music" points and could someone please explain how it determines the voltages the leds will get when it detects sound) ?...thanks heaps

After posting this on pablots forums I relised what had happened (based on my own thinking)...never power your 360 with no DVD drive, while the fader 360 is soldered in and the leds have an external power supply (i.e the 360)...the fader 360 activates while the 360 is still providing power to the leds...this happens because the 360 takes longer to shut down with no DVD drive and however the fader 360 relises it's time to activate.  I can't log into pablots forums (503 error) but thanks pablot and Sickmods
