Hi there. I think I have totally lost my dvd key from flashing with the 0800 firmware using latest Iprep autopatcher.

Doesnt these autopatchers leave your dvdkey alone??? I mean..doesnt iprep patch "around" your unique dvd key?

thanks.

samsung firmwares are flashed completely, there is no patching around anything.

thankyou. and a "oh crap" ...hurry up hackers and give us humble followers a working way to not use the unique dvd key codes!

does the complete flashing(no patch around dvd key) go for the Iextreme firmwares as well or is this just related to the 0800???

Why didn't you first use iDump to backup your original FW? And then iFlash to get it updated? That way you should have your orig.bin on the USB boot stick.

I did but then forgot to backup that orig.bin.( I really thought that it patched around the key) I thought I remember reading that.

Do any of you know if any discoverys are on the horizon about bypassing the dvd keys completely or recovering the lost ones from nand(w/o dvd or cpu key)

iPrep would not have continued or started to flash if you did not have a valid orig.bin in the backup folder...(then you said you lost it later...bad news for you lol)...what you read about patching around the key was the Hitachi firmware.  The firmware for the Hitachi's patches around the location of the key Wink
