Kreon firmware for TS-H343A??

I've got the SH-D163A_KREON_v080 firmware and the read me states it works on the TS-H343A so I bought one and when I run the flasher it says the firmware is incompatable, people are selling this drive on ebay with the hacked firmware so it must go on??

are you sure its not already loaded with the firmware ?

I bought my drive from scan.co.uk so no it won't be already loaded with the firmware

i think the reason it says invalid, is because of your SATA chipset your using, i personally flashed my drives, i was using the VIA 6421 and while triying to flash the drive i would get an error like yours , so i tried everything, well the problem turned out to be that my VIA 6421 card was not compatible to flash that particular drive, so i went to Comp USA and bough a new SATA card.  Silicone image SIL 3512, once installed, tried to flash and all went perfect ! so you might want to maybe try using your friends sata or alternetably you could just got and buy the same chipset i used ! up to you ~

My board has nforce 590 chipset I think, but it also has SIL as well so I might try that as well
