you have to use his flashtool to extract the kv.bin.. I can't really tell you more, as the flashtool crashes when attempting to extract my kernel (maybe an extract-kv-only option would be a good idea, robinsod?)

Do you have the correct keys? Using bad/invalid keys might cause a crash (thought I'd fixed that though)

I now have the Olympus MAUSB hack working with my own code & I hope to get the info I need from infectus to integrate their device. Today I will add some filters to the extraction process

Hacking the 2 bytes at 0xB8 allowed my (retail) Jap/NTSC copy of Need For Speed to boot, so in summary the bytes at 0xB8

0x00,0xFF   US              No Boot   
0x01,0xFF   Jap             Boot
0x01,0xFE   Jap             Boot
0x02,0xFE   Europe/Pal   No Boot

It's still not clear what the second byte is for

Could you try 0xFFFE? Some guy claims that's region free

I`m trying to get the DVD movie region code.
I know that there is a topic on technical forum but I´m to noob to post there.
So I have dumped two KV.bin from two diferent Korean 360s, compared both files and got the common staff.
Thouse 360s are region 3 movie, so they must have same data about region coding.
I need someone that have a diferent region KV.bin. That way we can see the different data, that is common on my 360s.
That make sense at all?
