Samsung dvd wont read discs

this is my second 360 , and its about 3 months old. Not flashed or chipped in anyway.

Anyway yesterday it just crashed while trying to save in Forza2 , I rebooted it and now the disc drive wont spin up at all , it asks you to put a dvd in , i do that and it turns probably about 2 turns and then asks you to insert a game or dvd etc.

My drive was making pretty circle scratches on a few of my games so i am guessing the laser has died, what do you guys think?  also if i buy a new laser for the samsung which version do i buy and is it easy to fit?  are there any tutorials i can download on this ?

If it hasn't been opened then send it in to M$ for free replacement!  M$ has extended the warranties on these 360s for 3 years from Purchase date

Not 100% sure, but I think the 3 year warranty only applies to the ring of death.

it does state that it is only 3 months old so it will be in warranty anyway
