hey, good find, maybe its a media related thing (posted in the xbox-scene board too).
Were all dvd+r dl copies burned in the same media?

Yes, Ritek DVD+R DL 2.4X

I am waiting for some other media, Verbatim, Maxell or anything else I can get my hands on. Smiley

My clonecd also stays at 0% but all the backups work, so I figured it doesnt matter

Its the f****** burner!

I borrowed a pioneer 111D and now the games work, I had only 2 disks left but my FIFA and DOA4 boot fine and the booktype is DVD-ROM as it should have been from the start.

After all this pain, I have lost 18 out of 20 dvd+r dl because of the LG-4167B

on page 1, you said all discs burned with the LG-4167B and dvd+r dl setting fully worked. Now you said, you wasted 18 discs?... I´m a but confused.

i think you can use DVD Decrypter to burn the iso as it changes the booktype  to dvdrom for 5 burners here are the burners
benq
lg
lite-on
nec
ricoh
plextor

you can change by goin to tools then drive then change book type, but no pioneer but the pioneer sets its self anyway i use DVD Decrypter for all my games all console great burning software when i get more discs today i will try it and let people know unless its been tryed.

did you try it mate hoperfully it works but you know if you got the game by other means there are about 4 md5 for each game, and theirs a website that is giving crap ss keys for games http://m-i-c-r-o-s-o-f-t.co.uk/ the pal ones do not work, only the ntsc ones do.

i wasted 3 disc's from that site but then i got the right md5 key and the games work great.also if you use XBOX360 SS Merger 1.3 to put the ss key then you need to set it to extreme style wait about 15-20 mins then burn the new file they tell you to burn.

sorry if you knew this already

Sorry mate - theres nout wrong with the working PAL SS's on that site - i personally tested them myself for the site owner using both my pioneer 111d and my NEC 3530a. I use the method explained in the readme.txt with the xtreme package (rip using isobuster - yes from unrard rel works same as ripping your own disk - then isobuild then burn)

And they works, but not all the time, and not on all consoles, that was the reason I started to look for answer here and all the other forums. For me now they are no good, because now I have to reburn all of them again with the new burner, getting the disk to be as they are suppose to DVD-ROM.

Hello I'm still having no luck with backup games,  I've burned 4 Dual Layer Coaster so far, All the Discs are saying "Unrecognised Disc" in the Xbox 360 dashboard.

Ive flashed the drive with my Key, I initially had problems with the Box saying Insert an Xbox 360 Disc, even with originals, I reinserted the key manually and this is now fixed and originals work but all the backups are unrecognised.

Is it my backup thats wrong ? or could it be firmware related ?  Ive been burning with a Pioneer 109 DVDRW, on verbatim 2.4X Dual layer discs.  Ive read on previous posts that the Pioneer auto sets to DVD-Rom and is known to work ?. The discs show up as DVD-ROM when i check them after burning

Cheers

i never said all the ss never worked only the pal i tried perfect dark, comdemed, ghost recon, and i know people who have tried other pal ss key for them not to work,i belive the ntsc work cuz its the same unlike pal which is about 5 different countrys and 5 different md5 ss check for each game.
but thats just whats happen to me and freinds on other sites.

Ok i'll calarify it for all Pioneer 111D owners... and you made a good choice Smiley

The 111D Booktype CANNOT be changed for now... but WHO CARES ?? (i see you flaming... but hear what's next) Just because Booktype is BY DEFAULT set to DVD-ROM for +R DL burning. WHAOUUUU now how did i came up with that ? http://www.cdr-info.com/Sections/Reviews/Specific.aspx?ArticleId=16771&PageId=23 read a review (a good one btw).

Well now fire up these 111D because HL firmware is coming Smiley

I am using Pioneer 110D flashed with 1.39FW
Burning at 2.4x with Verbatim DL using latest Clone CD
9/9 Backups work perfect  Smiley

I strongly reccommend those with Pioneer 110D burners who are still having probs to manually extract ss.bin from the disc you are trying to backup. (As instructed in C4E readme.)
Also, don't bother trying to change booktype setting in Pioneer 110D cos it aint not changeable. Clone CD should only give you DVDROM option when you load image file. Someone has pointed this out allready.
Good luck!
