Hello all, I have been trying for about 68 out of the last 72 hours to do this but with no sucess. I have read and read. I have tried the autoflasher, the old way, and tried to edit the mtkflash but I don't have and info in the scsi section when I run msinfo32.exe.
I just bought this computer, its a HP a1540n with an asus a8n-vm csm mobo. When I run the bios agent it tells me I have an AMD 1100 rev0 chipset. When I look up the chipset at other sites they say I have an Nvidia Geforce 6150 + Nforce 430.
Has anyone had any experience with this mobo? There are 4 sata ports directly on the motherboard but nothing in scsi.
Can I get the data I need to hexedit the mtkflash from the ide section when I run msinfo32.exe?
Any direction would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you.

Hi Guys,
Have flashed a hitachi with no probs using usb to sata but having probs flashing a sammy.
I am using an intel 865G chipset mb. and have got autoflasher to load up to the stage where it says
drive scaned, please select
1.ICH5 Prim Master 2.ICH5 Prm Salve
Choose one drive.
I then press one and get the following message:
Port: 1f0, Master/slave: a0
But nothing happens after. Is my mb good for the job or is my drive playin up.
Would be greatful for any advice
Thanks

hazza2580 I think you've already been told this once but I'll tell you one more time yes you do have an option take the drive apart unsolder the flash rom buy a programmer I do believe a willam will work for you then dump the flash like that and be more carefull next time you've already had a thread go to the landfill read your own threads and you would know this edit: here's a thread with some good tips on how to desolder the flashrom http://www.xboxhacker.net/forums/index.php?topic=1039.0

?SOMEONE?HELP?PLEASE??
I have two motherboards I can use to install the firmware on my 360 but no-one seems to have mentioned anything about them. My new motherboard has these chipsets:
North Bridge Uli M1695 chipset For 939-pin CPU, FSB @ 1 GHz / 2.0 GT/s ---------------Asrock 939Dual-SATA2 South Bridge Uli M1567 chipset supports SATA 1.5Gb/s
My old motherboard has these chipsets:
North Bridge: SiS 748, FSB @ 400MHz, AGP 8X/4X ------------------------Asrock K7S8XE+ South Bridge: Sis 964, supports USB 2.0, ATA 133, SATA 1.5Gb/s
Can anyone tell me if any of these chipsets will recognise my 360 drive? Plese Reply, Thanks
