Funny things happen again....

There are games that are non stealth for iXtreme. Some persons are making them stealth again, now with:

dvd mulleter beta 9 test 4

As far as I know a real stealth game can only be made from the original and not made stealth later with seperate injected files. That's where last time things went wrong.

Or is iXtreme that strong that it just really won't let a game run unless its 100% good, or could the new dvd mulleter found a way around it again, fake the stuff and still get detectable by MS this way?

iXtreme cannot know if a game is 100% stealth or not.  It simply does the checks to make sure the files appear to be accurate & stealth.

If MS changes the structure of the files in any way, the game will not work on iXtreme until there is a new version released.

programs like mulleter are not finding ways around iXtreme 1.2 checks, they are simply doing what iXtreme 1.2 is doing and checking for stealth.  If they don't find it, then they allow the user to fix the game with what should be the correct video files (in this case you are talking about).  mulleter does not know if the game is just messed up or if there is a new type of protection, so you have to do this at your own risk.

Moral of the story is to quit downloading the "Scene" release, especially a PRE RELEASE, game and go back up your original game and play it if you are worried about these sorts of things.

Do NOT blame mulleter or any other software out there, they are doing their job, and it is not their fault that MS could/will release new protections in the future that haven't been dealt with yet.

Dont use SplitVid from xbc 2.5 when using iXtreme, be thing is to wait for the new release that will do the stealth checks and create a compatible SplitVid.

I don't know how comprehensive the chekcs are right now...

I mean they are as comprehesive as they can be without an accurate database, but the SS can be injected from another version of the same game will boot but may be detected...

So goes for the other stealth files PFI, DMI and video partitions.. there are combinations that work from other pressings of the disc and other games when injected.

I do not think the current programs or firmwares can prevent them from booting but they are detectable..
