I've read many posts about changing firmware on ms28 but I've got very confused (so far I only did 2 hitachis)

I have gigabyte k8 ultra939 mobo with silicon 3512 sata but I'm not sure if it's possible to use this mobo. I've tried to connect the sammy to the PC and BIOS recognised him (I did that couse I thought the method for flashing is similar to hitachis)

Does ms28 only work with VIA mobos or only with VIA PCI card?

What about the other swap method is it safe/easy and if so can someone get me a tutorial couse from one I've read there was missing pictures (from xboxscene)

Can somebody suggest me the easiest method/tutorial for this drive.

My friend ms28 flashes only with via sata controller....Either in a motherboard or in a pci card...But only VIA!

I was told on another board that this card, http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815124022 was also compatible to flash an ms28 drive, and it's considerably cheaper.

Can anybody confirm this would work?

VIA VT 6421L PCI SATA Card
This card is the best PCI SATA card for flashing the Samsung drive. It can also be used to “bad-flash” an MS28 without soldering.
