no. ONLY supported games work, since the game support is a matter of the emulator, not the dvdrom.
Thanks for the answer.....but SUCH dissappointment!

the firmware files can be found on multiple usenet groups....try looking there first instead of bugging arakon and bluecop

stop begging for the LG hack, it will happen when it happens.. this crap only clutters the threads with useless postings.

normally onboard SATA controllers are connected via PCI anyways, so it makes no difference if they are onboard or a seperate card.. there's no reason why this would not work. only chipset that is most likely not working at all is the Sil3112.

Thanks Commodore4eva for sharing your work
AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 01 C0 AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 03 C0 AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 05 C0 AD 00 FF 02 FD FF FE 00 08 00 07 C0
I comapred your supplied PGR3 SS with one extracted with robinsod fw, seems that a few bytes are addedd at 0x200, are them data taked from security placeholders for challenge type 1 and 3, and measured value for challenge type 5 and 7? Are the four CDB command issuing the drive to retrieve what challenge type 1, 3, 5 and 7 require and add them to SS at 0x200? I presume yes, because your iso doesn't need securityplaceholders. So presumibly people issuing only one of the 4 CDB command will have the disk boot only somethimes.

Hi,
I'm sorry if this isn't the most appropriate place to ask, but here it goes:
Would it be possible to connect the drive with a SATA/FireWire adapter (Or even USB for what matters) for computers like laptops and such? Would the necessary cdb commands work?
The example fits for almost every Mac user (iMac's, MacBook's) since theres no (easy) way of having access to a SATA port.
Once again, sorry if I should've asked on another thread (mods are free to move)
Cheers.

im kind of confused, each of the cdb commands from dvd info pro create 2kb .bin files, adding them together creates a 8kb file. If this is the SS.bin file needed to create the images then while are all the SS files 2kb. Are we not supposed to run each cdb and add the output together for the ss.bin? Also when i ran the unlock code for the drive and check the drive in windows explorer i expected to see some data files but still did not, just the dvd partition stuff. anyone have any idea what im doing wrong?
UPDATE:: Sniperkill just told me that all the 4 cdb commands output the same 2k of info. why are 4 dumps of the same info required. Sniperkill also mentioned that he compared his 2k dump to the ones included and it matched. anyone know why there are 4?
If i'm not wrong (i'll check later, i usually use kprobe for CDB commands), dvdinfopro doesn't clear the buffer on each CDB command, so the 4 commands overwrite data to the buffer, so after 4 comands you'll collect all necessary data in the same 2KB buffer.

CONFIRMED WORKING!! Or at least Kind of.
I've just backed up Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter using said method. It boots and loads fine, but even when burned at 4x I'm getting noticable slow down in game.
How's yours running Arakon?
I'm going to reburn on verbs at 2x and see if i get any improvement.
I burned GRAW again at 2.4x and low and behold, it works perfectly! GRAW and EA's Fifa 100% working (Untested on Live) I'm very happy.
