I am having problems with the unlocking of the media.
I have tried entering the commands in DVDPro as ilustrated in many different tuortials  but I get a sense error has occurred

I have just tried to unlock the drive in SS Patcher 1.5 and it just says an error has occurred.

The DVDPro methos although it errors I can see the data in ISO Buster but when I rip the data it only goes to 58% before I get some windows exception error saying something about the disk being full even though there is 150GB free......

I am so close its just not funny, have had to over come so many obsticals but this one I have spent a couple of days look at but can seem to find the answer

Everything seems to be working ok

I would appreciate any help offered

Its not his burner.  No offense but the past couple responses to some of the questions here have had absolutely no point to the question.  He hasnt even got the disc ripped yet so there isnt no need for the burner as of yet.  When you unlock the media are you making sure that the original game is inserted into the 360's dvd drive and giving it a couple secs for windows to recognize the disc change?

Another thing to look at is in SS Patcher, inside of the mini dvdpro, make sure to select the letter that represents the 360's dvd drive and make sure to uncheck that checkbox there.  Oh and make sure you have the xtrm0800.bin firmware flashed to it.  And after flashing it you might want to make sure to shutdown the xbox and pc and restart both.  Just in case.

agent_z:  this have nothing to do with my dvd burner or needing a better one, the process of unlocking the media needs to be done to the Xbox360 samsung drive with an original game in it not any of my DVD burners Smiley

cheers for replying though....

I tried the xtreme.bin firmware and then none of my games would work.  I flashed it back with the original firmware.  I did it exactly the same way as the process to flash with the xtreme.bin.  I'm not sure why the documented recovery procedure is so complicated.  All i had to do was enter the same mktflash command and specify my original firmware.  I also don't know why playing backups (or any games for that matter) didn't work for me.  It was like the firmware flashing turned the TS-H943 into a regular DVD player.  Whenever I would insert a game, it would just tell me to insert the game into an Xbox 360 console.  Weird.  Maybe i did something wrong during the process of flashing it.  Anyway, I'm glad it was an easy recovery and I didnt follow the directions documented in the PDF for recovery.

Time to move this thread. I don't see any technical information and / or hacking going on.
