Anyone knows if &when there will be a tutorial? there is a tutorial with the files, c4e actually gave enough details this time to instantly make a working hack/game.

CONFIRMED WORKING!! Or at least Kind of.
I've just backed up Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter using said method. It boots and loads fine, but even when burned at 4x I'm getting noticable slow down in game.
How's yours running Arakon?
I'm going to reburn on verbs at 2x and see if i get any improvement.

I had a Perfect Dark Zero iso i made with WXripper using the hotswap method. I overwrote the area of the image with the correct SS and it boots fine. So if you have already riped you games with WXRipper you can write the SS at offset FD8F800. then rename to IMAGE.000 and burn with the included IMAGE.dvd for 360.
It boots fine. I heard a stutter when first loading(reading the SS probably) but after that it worked fine in game without slow down. maybe a slight increase in load times. I burned at 2.4x

what are the technical problems now which have to be solved to release a hitachi firmware?
Will there be made any tools which automatically patches the iso with your own hexcode?

FFS, people, stop sending me PMs about the FW. I am not sending it to anyone and I don't have one for the LG drive either. any questions can be asked in this thread.

No, it would be great to have a modchip for running normal homebrew stuff like a full XBMC But this hack only's purpose is to play 'back-ups' yeah right. Just copy's of a original flying around the internet. That's no good for a console. Oh yes, millions more will be sold, but at what price? The console gives loss for MS, they win back on games. So if those people don't buy any game, they will lose on those gamers for sure. It's a bad thing for sure. At least in this stadium of the console. In the end of it's life cycle it is less of a problem, because the number of games sold will be allright to cover costs, now it is $#!tty as hell. I would like supportment for the 360 for some years at full strenght. Which means: BUY YOUR FREAKING GAMES IF THEY ARE GOOD, I BET YOU ALSO DON'T STEAL MOVIETICKETS OR CARS TO JOYRIDE IN? If you can't buy it, don't play it for the rest, one could be banned from Live, it is possible to detect. The ones getting it for research purposes that lead to a modchip know what they are doing. The rest of you freaking kids who only want to play free games, go find yourself a way to make your system totally useless indeed please, so you can get a PS3 afterwards and go bug that system till it's death...

super noob here... question: when making a iso of an orig 360 game, do yiu need to put the extreme0800 firmware on the drive every time, or can you do it once and use the same key in all my iso images i already have made from before? ? thanks

Just wondering about how does C=4eva handle the timing challenges.. Did he figure out how to decrypt the table or does the SS capture firmware also the timings?

it ONLY works on the samsung drive. @Alec: no. ONLY supported games work, since the game support is a matter of the emulator, not the dvdrom. @frankdux: yes, you need to flash back and forth each time.
