no i got it to detect the game disc. but if i try to star game. screen goes black and the dirty disc error screen slides in from the right.
whatīs wrong ?
i burned in 2x speed. sould i use 1x ?
or could this effect also be due wrong SS, couse my files are so messed up, and i might have inserted the
wron SS in fury

is there any way to get the samsung sdg 605b to read the security sector of a 360 disc. I think it possible and would be nice for those who have that drive and dont need it in their xbox. Thanks

regarding my king kong that got the unreadable error last night, i just got the ss.bin again, rebuilt the image, and it worked fine! I just i just hurried through the custom commands on that one... thanks!

What speed do you guys generally consider to be the best when burning to DL media?
I use x2 or 2.4, but someone has mentioned that x1 speed isn't too good for DL media, so I was just wondering if it's better to go faster if your drive supports it? (All of the discs I've backed up onto DL work fine, but Tomb Raider has the slight jitters on the opening music ((not the video strangely)) although it's not very prominant, you can only just tell if you listen carefully!)

2.4x is the optimium. do not burn fast er or slower than that for best compatibility... |

If I pair up the key to what I see in the hex editor its not at 4000. Personally, I would do it manually by copying $4000-$4200. The key is in there, don't worry if you dont recognize it. I am sure the key patcher software works well, but when it comes to bricking my drive or doing it manually, its an easy decision. Once again, hats off to those who created the key patchers, please don't take offense. Hell, maybe I have OCD or trust issues. hahaha |

Hi ppl , I can't try this hack because I have Hitachi-LG dvd drive.... My friend have samsung drive, and he told me that there is a problem ... He made firmware flash succesfully, made backup of Oblivion and backup is working. (with extreme metod + ss extracted) Thing is that when he start the backup game XBOX360 is VERY QUIET like there is music CD or DVD movie inside ,not game. This is good about not making noise, BUT xbox is overheating after one-two hours playing. FANS inside XBOX360 do not starting at all, when he put original Oblivion everytning is fine (fans are loud again). Another interesting thing , original Oblivion is loading 10 times slower then before and backup is faster in loading......hmmm,.. Kameo original working same like before (no backup from Kameo l) Any solutions for this, anyone had problems like these ? Thank you for helping  |

Hi I have patched my firmware fine originals working and a backup that I managed to get hold off.
I then have made my own backups, Flashed back to xtreme.bin, 1 of the games I backed up when I put in nothing happensit trys to read the disc for 10 seconds then stops, I then get open tray at bottom off dash. Originals still working. ( normally on game errors I get unrecgonised disc)
When this game goes in I try my other backups that were working , now they dont work .
Flash backed f/w and its the same only 1 of my backups work all others give open tray.
Anyone had this before?
Any help appricated

looks like you are making bad images...
might be your disks or burning too fast...is bittype set to dvd-rom?

Burnt at 2 speed , the one that still works is a Verb, the others are mixed Verbs and Ritek dyes. But the games used 2 work except for 1 , I might try and get a dvd cleaner , 2 they do one or is it just for cds? to clean the lens.
Its like the xbox does not like the discs, as I get same error when i flash back to original.bin.
The backup that is working produese a differnt error un recoginesd disc.
Maybe i put this box on ebay.

I thought I post my findings, for people looking for a working solution. Maybe it's time to sticky some working solutions, just to clean up the forum a bit ?
Mobo: Asus P4P800SE (ich5 sata controller): Had the TS drive connected as the only drive in my pc. Changed BIOS setting from IDE Enhanced to IDE compatible. Flashing went great!
Burner&Media: Used an NEC 3520AW(External USB burner) firmware 3.07. Media I used was Philips. No need to setup booktype as it defaults to DVD-ROM. Burned at 2.0-2.5x speed.
The whole flashing and backup process went great ! One note though: my box did NOT start backups when I just copied my key(for which im 100% sure it indeed is my key) to xtreme.bin. I needed to copy the whole $4000-$4200 block for it to work.
Personally i have been following this forum since day 1 and am able to duplicate the work for myself using all info on this board. My next step will be to continue on CVE's fw, adding more features as I see fit(currently looking for rotation speed control)
Much respect to theSpecialist, CVE and all other known blokes around here for their hard work ! It is appreciated !

I patched my firmware using the kdx patcher. originals and movies work fine. but i canīt get the backups work. I noticed when i opened the xtreme_proper firmware that between 4000 and 4200 is nothing but the key, and in my backup.bin (orig) there is much more. and in my kdx patched xtreme_proper.bin there is only the key. now if i would do the patching manually and copy all from 4000-4200 there would be much more info on the new patched xtreme_proper.bin .... so could this be my problem ? should i do a reflash with manually copied data to the xtreme_proper.bin  |
