Silicon Image 3114R RAID controller on it
I think there is more than one place, even on this particular thread, that says si3112/3114 doesn't work. I looked into this, the samsung drive does not allow you to flash with the silicon 3112/3114 chipset no matter what. The flash program was not designed to work with it. The LG/Hitachi drive can work on the 3112/3114 chipset on the other hand - but requires you to use the linux CD to force the drive into ModeB. how can itell what chipset i have? Look at the mobo... or the pci card still cant find it, it is an onboard sata with four ports. Is ther away i can check in my computer?

Let's hope you don't buy a Hitachi one then! Or even worse: the answer of MS at this all, a whole new drive which has new hardware protection...

I can confirm that Oblivion PAL works like a charm, dumped the ss, the iso and burned it to a disk....

for those who can't get the drive detected, read the last 4 or so pages of the "samsung dump by software" thread, the info is all there.

People dont post your binaries, it is the same as posting a hacked fw, it contains copyrighted code.
Dont bother thinking wich is my key?
Paste the full range between 4000 - until you see only FF's

at a first glance I'd say your key is f1 db f4 99 08 89 70 33 6e 58 11 4f 94 22 95 af, at least that is the only section that looks like a key at all.

Is it possible that I ripped the FW wrong? 2 different Keygens pull the same key from my backup file. They both give me BB BB BB FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF FF I don't want to flash my fw until I know I have the right key, and I made a success backup of my orig fw. Please resond asap so I can get some sleep tonight. Sorry to be a pain...

Is it possible to burn with A DVD burner that does not support booktype to dvd-rom? I have pioneer 111d
Do some searching... I have a Pioneer DVR 109 and while it doesn't support bitsetting on DVD+R my research shows that it automatically sets DVD+R DL to DVD-ROM. Since you have to use DL for backups you may well be able to use your Pioneer. I haven't confirmed it for mine yet but I'm getting close...

@klexen: use a hexeditor and do a bit of reading, it was explained in some postings what the key's supposed to look like and in what area to look for it.. there will be only one part that is different enough to be the key.
as for the booktype setting on DL blanks with pioneer, the "hard way" to figure that out is to burn a +r DL disk, then use dvdinfopro or dvd identifier to check the booktype on the burnt disk.

I don't know but I'm guessing that something is wrong when it takes more than a few minutes ..
