Bluecop could you share with us how do you make windows detect the drive flashed with xtrm0800.bin because I have flashed it but no sucess on make windows boot it.
My PC mobo has a sata raid feature or something like that but when the PC boot it says that sata hardware was not detected, so I assume the problem is relative to bios and then to windows. Any comments? did you some kind of swap ?

Who did the hack? commodore4eva ? There is a guy on a spanish forum foros360.com claiming being the hack author, its nick is Xtreme.
He's the admin of that site, he just posted up saying it was out, if you look at the bottom of the first post he made today with the nfo in it it still has Commodore4eva's nick in there, I don't think he's trying to pass that over as his own work....

So, I have to extract the track with 7.5 rightn(without see the game data)?
When I extract this image I have not any read fail, it's normal?
On the other hand, when I xtract SS from COD2 PAL, I compare it with released with firmware, and I have 930 differences.
I can't understand why, I follow the readme.
Thanx Arakon for ur answer.

Thanks for the great work! I managed to get the firmware extracted, and have the DVD key from my drive, I used Xtractor 1.1 to patch the Xtreme.bin firmware with my dvd key, and everytime I flash the drive my originals stop working? Any ideas?
I can flash the drive using The Xtreme0800.bin and windows sees it fine, its just when its patched and booting my originals.....Any help appreciated.

Can you burn with DVD-Decrypter or CloneDVD. Or does it have to be CloneCD?

Once again, nice release. A quick question: After a raw dump is correctly patched with the ss, can it then be copied as a "regular" dvd in nero or any other burning prog?

Silicon Image 3114R RAID controller on it
I think there is more than one place, even on this particular thread, that says si3112/3114 doesn't work.

I am curious too.. I can't see why it couldn't be as all the data should be readable if written by your burner.. Give it a shot and see.. Keep your original ISO on the computer, Rip a new one with DVD Decrypter/CloneDVD/Nero and compare them to see whats different. Or burn it off again. @CoDeX2k, Make sure your SATA ports are set to NATIVE/IDE mode NOT RAID. I think your bios has to see the X360 drive for it to give a location - which I dont think its doing, then locking up. There was a trick on loading a live Linux CD (slax) up which would force it to detect, then rebooting to windows. I dont know if this would help you or not. This info comes from the 360dvdhack tutorial and is in regards to the hitachi drive.. it should apply to the samsung though I would think too. Test and see what happens. The ISO file is ~52MB and is simply called live-cd.iso It also may not work too, I was told that only the Silicon would work.. I really hope the 3114 does work though, as thats what my A7N8X-E deluxe has in it.

i had the same problem, on the startup, it told me it found my drive as a secondary slave on sata, (under pc bios), and when i selected that on mtk flash, it just hung, so i chose the secondary master under mtk and it did it fine. hope this helps

@CoDeX2k - the mtkflash in the MTK-NF4 worked on my nForce4 board
i am able to extract/flash the drive's firmware. no matter what firmware is flashed, if the 360's DVD drive is powered on when my computer's BIOS is loading, it locks up. with the Xtreme0800 firmware, i power on the 360 while my bootloader is running (before windows starts loading) and the drive is successfully detected in windows. once in windows, the drive is listed as a CD drive when no disk is inserted, and as a DVD-Video disk with the title "XBOX360" when ANY disk is in the drive, whether xbox disk or not. is this the same for those of you who have been able to rip originals?
also, i believe i am able to successfully extract the security sectors as the tutorial suggests, but the 'unlocking' step (sending cdb FF 08 01 01) appears to do nothing. the disk still appears as a DVD video disk. any suggestions? anyone else have this problem?

Another lame question If one makes a backup with the samsung drive, and patches it with the ss and burn with clonecd, would this work on a lg firmware hack aswell?

Regarding the SS patching by hex editor with isos made in WXRIPPER
Am I right in thinking that you go to FD8F800 and replace all following dummy data 0's until you reach the data again (non 0000) - which I checked and was 2kb in size - with the ss.bin data.
thanks - just confirming before I burn my DL disc

if the hacked LG firmware is designed to read the same location for the securit sector, then i'd think it should.
