Hey Guys,

Just alittle problem  Wink

Ok... I'm haveing no luck with flashing my 360 (samsung ms28) correctly.

I have made the usb bootdisk with Bootmaker 5.3 rc1

Extract Ixtreme10

Rename "xtrem10a.bin" To "hacked.bin"

Run "Toolbox 3.1"

open Orig.bin and copy the key, then open "Hacked.bin" and copy the key into that. Then copy the hacked.bin into the usbstick

Then i run it and type the command mtkflash w /m /sata hacked.bin
Then it Updates 4times and Done!

Origionals work but backups wont  (the backups DO work on other 360s)  i have done this over and over again. I have read and re-read the tutorials. What have i missed?  Huh Cry

Many Thanks

On the tutorial it says ....

"On the USB I suggest you erase the Xflash , Xread, Samtool, Xtremefw.bin files."

Would this make a differance if they where left on the usb?

do your backups pass all the stealth tests?

get hold of XDVDMulleterBeta7 and test your backups with this to see if they pass all the tests.

your flash seems OK, it is the backups most probably.

Make sure it is all done with a samsung (5.3 or before) / kreon and XBC or scthrom, doing a complete backup.
as stated if the other machine you are testing with a console that is not iXtreme, many of the constraint to boot are not present (Hitachi SS, bad DMI, bad pfi...). You need to test on another IXtreme console.

Is the read / write fw differend then the other times ?
I read orig fw with MTKVia ( MTKFLASH but then for VIA )
Then in windows xp I copy the orig.bin to the ixtreme10 folder .
Then I use Make iXtreme firmware
Then you get a good readme file ..
Key read from orig.bin on 2-6-2007
Drive Version: ms28
Key: ##############################
And offcource the new .bin file .. ix10.bin
Then you go to MTKFLASH again and write the ix10.bin to the drive .

If this is not the good methode please tell me .

BTW .... Thks for C4Ever and garyopa and the rest for making this possible

YOUR BACKUPS ARE NOT STEALTH

that's why they work on other modded 360's with a lower hacked FW version...

Make sure you realy flashed your drive with the right firmware maybe you flashed your orignal firmware back on drive?

So maybe thats the prob why backups work fro others but not on your drive. (only when the other machines always got iXtreme1.0!)
