All:

We are in the process of creating a new stealth checker that will be far better than any checker to date because it uses CRC32's of the actual stealth files.

The beta of the program is just about finished, but the hard part will be to create a catalog of every game out there, for each region and get a valid CRC32 for each file.  SS, PFI, DMI, Video.iso

If you want to help, you must have access to a large number of original discs and be able to PROPERLY extract the stealth files.  Our program will then create the CRC32 and catalog the 360 game.

The new Stealth 360 program will then be able to create a stealth.ini file that can be used along side of any of the existing 360 backup programs.

If you are interested, we will be starting this effort soon, so post a reply with what region of games you have access to, the quantity, and the DVD drive you use to backup your games.

Below is a Screen shot of the Stealth 360 program currently being developed.  It is nothing much, but gets the job done.  If you have any suggestions for Stealth 360, then please post those as well.

Thanks to everyone who has already contributed so much to the 360 scene.

I wouldn't mind helping with this. I have about 24 original games and I use an sh-d162c to make my backups.

Yes!  The goal is to make certain that everyone (who cares) can make sure that they have true stealth backup images.  There are a lot of people out there with bad backup discs because they didn't care about keeping the stealth files, and now we can make sure the stealth files are good.

We need help checking and cataloging the stealth files, so if anyone is able and wants to help, please let us know.

Thanks,

Once we get some people to contribute to the stealth catalog, we can release it.  The tool won't be useful until there are entries to check & compare with.

So, again.  Anyone who has a lot of original games that can, help.

I'll be contributing NTSC-U games via the GamePass at blockbuster as well as my own originals.

Isn't it better to start an online database with the numbers instead of putting them into the program? It's way easier to check by site when a new game comes out

Just for your interest, Forza 2 has a new PFI.bin (the first for a very long time) with a CRC32 of A4CFB59C

This is an awesome idea!
The firmware can't really check for stuff like this so its a good idea to have a database.
Having an online DB would only make sense if it had an easy to use API, think CDDB.
Good luck on the projtect!

I have a good size game collection of orginals, I would be availble to help with what ever I can do. I use XBC along with a Kreaon Drive to do all my rips. Sorry if I butcherd and words here...

Can you post the first 32 bytes or so of PFI?
Maybe the first 32 of the SS too?

Yes, but I don't have the web space & capacity to run such a site.   Cool

Sounds great!  We need anyone w/ access to several originals to help populate the data.  If any of you with original games want to get started before the program is finished, you can rip your original games using the kreon drive down to these:  ss, pfi, dmi, video.iso, and game.iso.

Put each game and its files in a seperate folder and Stealth360 will then be able to catalog the CRC32 results.

Anything I contribute will be from the originals and not off some dam Warz site, not that all warz are bad but to many uncertains for what I do. Maybe this belongs on a FTP server If you get my drift.

I like FPS and Racing.
If I can Hunt it and Kill it I will play it.....

surely the whole point of making a program like this is to make sure all the ss, dmi etc are exactly as taken from an original therfore you posting what sectros were included in a net release doesnt really help the scene, if anything it jeapodises the integrity of the checks ?
