Notes about this release:
This version is a set of batch files, like the previous garyopa hitachi releases. This version has been done for several days, as c4e had originally implemented the disc-jitter on hitachi drives, but wanted to fully test all drives before public use. This version will not support v78 drives (use fw toolbox 3.1) but does provide the most stable flashing routines for v32-v59 Hitachi drives. This release still contains the F900 (game SS ripping core) and firmware Stealth, both of which are removed in fw toolbox 3.1 version.

Well I tried to flash a few mins ago (with Vista) but it the flash process stays at
"Flashing 1/9 .............."
I already ran the cmd as Administrator, no change at all. Do I really have to install XP again only for the flash`?

do NOT use vista for any critical stuff like flashing. vista is more or less beta and even after a few SPs it will likely have bad compatibility for older software.

Maximus - FIRMWARE TOOLBOX V3.1B (With C4E/Garyopa Hitachi 1.7)
The Credit on the Hitachi 1.7 is to C4E for his original Hitachi Jitter Fix and to Garyopa for layout those changes on other versions

actually i've been flashing with vista eversince i am modding 360 's ... works very well no problems encountered with any drive version

listen everyone......use these hacked firmwares on LIVE...at...your...own..risk...plain and simple, don't want to get banned don't go on LIVE with burnt disks or hacked firmware

As the xbox 360 checks the capacity of the disc - it will probably log a faulty capacity - at least so I have been told, that the Hitachi can't stealth the capacity.

I can problably saftly say now that xbox live is gone for us modders. Unless your willing to risk your console for it.
If your mad at microsoft and havnt been banned from live yet get as many single player achievements you can get and reflash your drive to ORIG signon to live you still have all your acheivements. Although its a bit lame. its a way for me to express my anger with the whole live situation. Payed so much money for something I cant void the warrenty on? Im sorry but I gotta see what makes it tick.
The jitter fix DOES NOT PROTECT YOU from being banned on xbox live. Its really not worth the risk!
