Hm.. if i get an brand-new x360 in the near future the console may have been preloaded from factory with the current/latest dashboards (spring). How to handle that when i want to use an new fw?

im also wondering this, my kreon drive came 2 days before my console got banned, was using wxripper and hotswap before that but eventually this woulda prolly done more damage to the discs than even the 360 could.

[22:30] <NasaLABIA> c4eva: looks great! lolol I have a hitachi 78fk in my elite - i cant wait to go back online with it - its suck a sad pretty looking paperweight right now [22:30] <c4eva> hitachi wont be long
[22:30] <Rom> how long will samsung be? [22:31] <c4eva> maybe tomorrow or next day depending on testing
[22:31] <ToXiC_255> is there any evidence that suggests playing backups OFFLINE without the latest spring update (still using last fall dashboard) will cause banning? [22:31] <c4eva> toxic:no
[22:33] <COMPROMIS> c4eva is region coding going to matter [22:33] <c4eva> comp:no, be careful on pre releases
[22:33] <dudefer32> c4eva how do you test, do you create a new firmware test it on a 360 and if it gets banned you then need to get a new 360? doesn't that get expensive? [22:35] <c4eva> dude:yes, but hopefully we covered everything so no bans
[22:33] <FlightFMM> c4eva: as I understand it - with the new firmware - any backups that dont have teh correct checks in place wont boot right? [22:37] <c4eva> flight:correct bad pfi/dmi or bad SS wont boot
[22:37] <Tribis> c4eva: Are more files going to need to be patched to the image in addition to pfi, dmi,ss,and video in order to have proper c/r timing and verification? [22:38] <c4eva> tribis:no , same as before
[22:39] <c4eva> hitachi dumps of ss , will not boot anymore
[22:39] <Kirusshan> will the games work w/o stealth if the cables not in [22:40] <c4eva> kir:no
[22:38] <ihiturmom> c4eva what is your favorite 360 game? [22:42] <c4eva> ihit:gow,kameo,uno
[22:43] <dudefer32> c4eva, what motivates you to create these firmwares [22:44] <c4eva> dude:freedom
[22:47] <bAN01TgAZ> will spofing still be compatible with new fw [22:48] <c4eva> ban:yes, but more risky [22:48] <Tribis> spoofing is more risky now because? [22:49] <c4eva> trib:more to it than just the text, can be detected
[22:53] <c4eva> Speed will always be same as original now

I am wondering how this can be tested for sure in case ms is not constantly banning but collecting data and then start a "ban wave" again?!

You don't know for sure. The "Use on Live at your own risk" disclaimer has never been more pertinent.

Great news indeed, good work c4e, i own a hitachi drive myself with the exploitable kernel version and garyopa firmware. Im kinda tired of waiting for progress on video and audio drivers for linux on the 360 so i thought id update to the latest dash when the new iextreme firmware comes out, and hopefully it wont get banned.... If it does get banned its realy no big deal either, as long as i have time to buy Shivering Isles for oblivion first

Uhoh, I kept my ms25 and sold my 78fk. For some reason, I thought my ms25 would be safer spoofed as 78fk, than keeping the 78fk. oops.

Maybe you should PM some overhere ;-) Sorry, but its really stupid to update that 360. It just is. Its hard I know, I know but its reality ;-) Nah but really. You should better buy a new core besides it making sure it has a T/S drive in it instead of the Hitachi, which never will be fully stealth in the first place!

MY GOD how stupid could one guy be Hmm i have 2 consoles with exploitable kernels, one is gonna be updated and the new iXtreme FW installed, the other is gonna be used as a power source for flashing. If anyone here want to make me an offer on the power source one, please feel free to drop me a pm. The power source box has already had Linux running on it, and it has a Samsung MS25 drive... It comes in a cool blue colour too! Please note, that i can not let this box go untill i have flashed my new box, once its flashed i will look into building myself a molex adaptor.

I knew this machine have an MS28 drive, because I have wrote down some dates I will waite to hack this drive until the iExtreme firmware is released. A friend of my, got MS25 and is banned. We played crackdown one week before it was released in Europe. We was so stupid

"c4eva" is busy with double-checking and running internal beta tests. Once those are completed soon enough the beta will expand to some trusted users, and then it will be released, work is moving along very fast, and you will see more news and details within a week or less.
