Status: Not Banned (DL Halo 3 Beta W/ Crackdown Backup, Played 20 mins yesterday. Today Played original GOW online, diconnected from XBL, but still able to sign in. Shortly after heard about the banning, disconnected console from network)
FW: C4E 5.3A (Flashed Before Spring Update)
Gamertag: First leteter "X"
1. Is it worth it to restore to Original FW at this point, or am I safer to avoid any FW dumps after Spring update?
2. Has Anyone flashed back to original FW After the update and been banned?

Hitachi 59DJ Stealth 2.3 done way before update
Played Crackdown (Original) and Halo 3 lastnight for about an hour.
Just tested Live and I am okay.

After looking at my friends gamertag who was banned I noticed that he had gotten a achievment on a game 1 day before the game was released. So now I have to wonder if those who have been banned have played any games from there system prior the the games release date? This could explain the hit and mis bans happening here  |

Still there are others ways besides illegal copies for people to play games early....Out of the 1000's of stores in the world that sells games you dont think a few of them have broken the street date on game releases....

I just got banned this morning at 12:30 GMT+1. Logged into live and banned after 30 seconds. Hitachi v78 flashed with toolbox 3.1b the day after I applied spring update. I haven't downloaded halo3 beta, just grabbed crackdown upgradable content over marketplace. I am gonna wait for ps3 isoloader now  |

Yes you the customer is doing nothing wrong by buying the game the reseller is the one at fault.I dont think M$ is banning people based solely on if they played a game early or not... |

It might be important to note not just current firmware, but firmware history. After all, some people had flashed back to original firmware before the spring update and were still banned. It may have been a check implemented quite a while ago that actually attacked an older firmware and they just logged the data till now and the hammer drops.

upgrade to 5.3 reporting ms28 before update
status: not banned
Post update games: several arcade titles, Gears of War (backup), Crackdown (backup, no stealth patch), Halo 3 Beta (via crackdown)
Games played before release date or from other region: Only game played before release date ever was crackdown. have never played any games from other regions. Never played any xbox1 backups.

Tested early this morning also, after playing guitar hero 2 all night, connected to messenger.

My 360 got banned too. Hitachi 47D C4E 2.4 stealth was using FW 2.3 --> update to latest dashboard --> update to FW 2.4 i turn it on, login to my profile, and all of the sudden... BAAM! can't login to LIVE. i didn't even put any games to my disc tray. then i was curious, what if i revert back to my original FW. And turns out it's not helpful at all, still banned. wohoo~ so, im guessing this might be the end of the road. And of course I'm really hoping C4E or someone could come out with a miracle *crossing my fingers* |

I know this information is important but..Microsoft can read this and they have a way of getting peoples email addresses from these boards. Take it from me who has had his posts used against him in court. Microsoft can get your email from here, get what you currently have and have done and make sure that next time you login your console is banned. Just a warning, I know it seems far feteched but directv did it to me just for posting in some forums.

its not crackdown people..or halo 3 beta,i modded a guy's 360 for him and he called me last night banned from live,he told me he called M$ and the rep asked him,"do you have a modified 360?" and of corse he said no,told him to read the TOS and call back,he never got crackdown from me nor did he download halo 3 beta,he gets the games from me and me only,so there you have it,he plays burned games on live and thats why he got banned,so now everyone can put the Halo 3 beta and crackdown=bann to rest.

played all night at launch
live status=not banned
just logged on live talking to friend in private chat via headset
P.S. on live 1 month trial if thats any help.

Loggined yesterday at 5PM EST, logged into XBL ok, updated to the spring patch, my hitachi was patched prior to updating with the latest Xtreme 2.4 FW
Drive: Hitachi 47DJ
FW: C4E Xtreme 2.4 Stealth (updated prior to getting spring patch)
Status: Not banned as of yet
Connection: Wired
- Was logged and downloading Forza demo until my friend called me and told me he was banned, I then logged off, disconnect my ethernet cable and haven't been back on to check my status.

Status: He attempted to connect using his wireless adapter, and as soon as he went to login to XBL, he was banned instantly, he didn't even get a chance to connect competely or download the spring update.
We've both been offline since the spring update was released.

3 360s all unbanned 1 MS28/ Not banned/ xtreme 5.3c/idled in dashboard for 2 hours, no problems 1 MS25/ not banned/ modded for 2 years went back to orig.bin 4 days ago.. 1 MS28/ Not banned/ xtreme 5.3c played battlefield2:mc for 4 hours no problems. sorry to hear about everyones bans. Goodluck!!

FINE: (tested with crackdown - scene release and halo3 demo - and various others)
Samsung ms28 firmware is 5.3a before spring update - not spoofed (flashed before with 5.2b then to 5.3a)

It may just be my generalizing, but from reading around it looks like the safest combo is a MS28 flashed with 5.3 before the spring update, to me, it looks like most spoofed drives are screwed, as well as most hitachis (probably due to fw released after update)
Can someone do another tally ?

my drive and a friends drive are bith spoofed to the same thing.He is on live I am not..There is more to it then detecting if it is spoofed

Hitachi 47 / Firmware 2.3 (Stealth) / BANNED / NEVER PLAYED HALO3, CRACKDOWN The bans has nothing to do with HALO 3 or CRACKDOWN. My Story: I have updated my dashboard and played only arcards and demos, no burned or orginals, because waiting if someone will be banned. I never had a DVD or CD in my drive, after the spring update. Today i read the news that MS bans the first consoles. I turned on my box and get the xbox live error (BANNED). I only played DEMOs and Arcards released after the spring UPDATE. R.I.P -> XBOX 360  |
