Hello well the file SystemUpdate_11-2006.zip was originally hosted at ms servers at this url http://download.microsoft.com/download/d/1/8/d181ee58-de70-4484-936b-0e9161ccd6b2/SystemUpdate_11-2006.zipbut now its not avaliable, i searched everywhere and i cant really find it. This file is the kernel 4548 update (aka the latest vulnerable kernel) and i would to update my vulnerable box to this kernel. so any1 keeps this file ? EDIT : If you have this kernel version on your machine, you will have this file in a folder called $SystemUpdate on your hd Thanks in advance

The question was very well asked, and the answer was not really an answer to the question. It's not really ungreatful if you say that. Anyway. http://rapidshare.com/files/28031506/7.htmlis the update for the 4548. You need to rename it to the usual filename, and put it with a (possibly zero-sized) default.xex onto a CD-R.

to DrMatrix thanks for the file, i already managed to get the file from other source, you can burn just the update file in the apropiated folder and update without a defaul.xex, but you have to put the disc before the console starts, or the machine will recognize the disc as mixed disc, and update will not start.
I NEVER TRIED TO BE RUDE, and i think i havent insulted any1. If i would want insults i would be posting at maxconsole.

Sweet....been looking for this, as it is exploitable and has tons of other fixes. Some to do with Hi Def (1080p). I asked a similar question some time back. got kinda the same rub. I did some work last night trying to get this from a disk, but couldn't verify i had it without updating....risking my 4532 box. Many thanks Dr. Matrix. also...anyone else that gets this update please post back results (if it's working and you have verified kernel 4548). I'll do the same, once I update. peace, zil

Why buy one, when you can buy two for twice the price.

ok thats bull $#!t, if you dont back up the eeprom its still in the box. on the eeprom chip, you should backuop the eeprom and store it on the comp just incase you unlock your drive. so you just need to be quiet b4 you mess up someone who needs real help from a not stupid person.
