ok ive just recieved my premod with x3 modchip,i flashed it with the x3 bios and its fine,but i CANNOT figure out how to ftp to x3 bios with crossover cable to get a dash installed.i tried reading tuts with no luck can someone PLEASE school me on this! THANK YOU........

well now i got aid3 working but i think i deleted my ms dash,how do i put it back?

i've never used aid3 so i dont' know what it is. What came with your xbox, in what state? They sent you an xbox with a modchip and an upgraded hard drive? does the chip was an on\off switch? So now without the msdash you're now booting up with an error? Why would you ever delete your msdash, you should not delete anything from the C: unless you know what your're doing. Did they send a backup cd with your box?

its a premod v1.6 with x3 modchip flashed with x3 bios.ive just installed ms dash on c:drive and it seems to be fine,but i still cannot get any other dashboards booted.is it something i need to rename in my x3 bios or the xbe file? i need some help!

i havent got ftp working yet and im trying to install xbmc dash.but now i changed something in x3 bios either vga enable or logo color and i can hear it boot but i cant see anything.is there a way to fix that also like set back to default,sorry but im having a bad day!

You may have changed the video mode to PAL. Depending on the television you're on you may see nothing, may see ditortion, or may see it clear maybe in b&w. Good thing you got FTP working if this is the case. You can get NTSC>PAL prog and FTP execute command to xbox to change this back. Also try another TV

holding ABXY at powerup should reset the x3 settings to default.

If it is the Xecuter 3 then can go into X3config live on the chip then go into Customise X3 Bios.
scroll down to Dashboard Boot Priority then in the list of his dashboards select which dashboard.xbe move it to the top of list select a and then back out of all of that stuff.. Then reboot to dash. That how i was able to get mine to boot to a dashboard , And to different dashboard.
And as for ftp . well ya got to get it to boot to a dashboard so ya can setup your ftp. Unless you want to use the x3 ftp and that is easy . the x3 password is x3
i have mine set to DHCP enabled and have it recognise the IP of my PC as the gateway.

i have evoxdash xbe on the top and on my c:drive i renamed the default.xbe to evoxdash.xbe and still no go!

Did you fix the problem with no video but still have sound at startup.
Try burning evolution X on a disk and running it from there. See if that works. There is a tutorial on Xbox-Scene. Remember to set up your IP address in the .ini file so that you can FTP once the dash loads.
This should give you access to the C: drive to install evolution X.
Keep us posted.

If you're behind a router, most of them have the option (netgear surely does) to scan attached devices. It then pings every IP. You should be able to pick out which one is your xbox
