Hi Everyone. I haven't been here in months. I've been so busy with work, family and getting my car ready for racing (Nissan Skyline GTS-T Series 2).

I'm now scabbling for funds. So thought Id crank up the old service.

The old topic was located here:-

http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?topic=1515.0 (lots of positive comments and feedback)

You can contact me try stuart.pilkington-way@swaytech.co.uk or stuart_swaytech@hotmail.co.uk (MSN)

I'm in th UK but have had bricked drives from US, Mexico, Brazil, Australia, Germany, Netherlands and a whole lot more.

What is done:-

1.DVD drive is taken apart.
2.TSOP Flash chip is removed from the PCB.
3.Any excess solder taken off and cleaned.
4.Read in a Flash Reader/Programmer.
5.Compare the Read/decrypted Keys with the Firmware/Keys that were sent (if sent)(so far 100% match).
6.Chip Erased and Re-prgrammed with either sent firmware or new firmware generated from working image with keys injected.
7.Chip refitted.
8.DVD drive rebuilt or PCB put in test drive.
9.Tested - Eject and DVD Film is tested.
10.Sent back to customer.

I've had once customer complaint who sent in a PCB and I got it working, but would play when he put it back in his drive. I put this down to either a damaged ribbon cable or laser.

This is the template email I send to anyone who requests a Hitachi Firmware Recovery... checkout the reviews there's plenty:-

Hi,

All the details are on my website. Please note its on a HTTPS connection. The server is its own Certificat Authority so you will need to accept the certificate.

Purchase this:-

https://www.swaytech.org/product_info.php?cPath=27_34&products_id=70

Cost includes return shipping.

Then read this:-

https://www.swaytech.org/jobconditions.php

and book your drive in for repair:-

https://www.swaytech.org/jobbook.php

Once booked you can get the delivery address from the "s-label" button found in "Look Up Job".
You can send either the complete DVD drive or just the PCB within the drive, this will cut down on postage.

Then once you are ready to ship the drive add the inbound tracking details found in "Look up Job" - Edit.

Then we can both track it on the way in.

Once finished I'll add the outbout tracking details found in "Look up Job" - View.

Any other questions just ask.

Regards
Stuart

(lets hope I can get enough money for some new suspension - its now screwed)
