Hi every one,

I have updated my TS-ms25 regularly and have had no problems at all. I lately updated to Ixtreme 1.2 and after flashing my drive i realised that my Xbox360 works 100% ok but when it reads a disc and finishes reading say the beginning of intro of a game, the drive then makes a loud squeeching sound after reading. Also when i go back to dashboard then it squeeches the drive . This sueeching happens when the drive tries to stop reading the disc.
Any ideas or explanations will be helpfull.

At least it doesn't sound healthy.

What I would try is flashing back to original fw and see if the sound stays. If it does, it's probably coïncidence, and it might be the transportplastics inside the drive that are a bit f*cked up. That's sh!tty because the next thing could be your drive won't open on itself. Have heard that problem before.

Oh wait, I read it's after reading of the disc not with closing... Then it's probably the head of the laser that has troubles moving.
Still have the warranty seal intact? Flash back and send back to MS then...

Your right , yesterday night i tried to take out my disc and after 13 tries then the drive opened. By each press the drive tried to open but it didnt and after 13 times it did. I do have th seal but putting it back on the xbox360, M$$ will know that i have opened it. Any other helpful solutions and how long do u think this will last until it really gets not to open the drive. If that happens and  i cant open the drive is there any other way of fixing it or opening the drive.

That's no good indeed. If your seal is untouched (not if its ripped off) and your drive is flashed back to original FW, no one could actually see it has been open... The best way would be buying a 2nd drive on the internet and flash with your current drive's key/firmware actually!
