i have flashed loads of hitachi 008fks no probs at all but  i have done this last 1 all seemed fine flashing playing back-ups no probs
but when i put an original in it displays the ( to play this disc insert it in an xbxo 360) the same screen as what happens if you put a back up game in an unflashed 360 very strange ....
has anyone else had this problem i have used toolbox v3.0 to flash
any help gladly appreciated

That's the error you also get when the key is incorrect - i'll bet you can play DVD movies fine right   If so then the key is incorrect

try another firmware. I had this problem awhile back. a different version of extreme fixed the problem.

But there is no other firmware for 78's lol theres 1.6 and 1.5 (i think 1.4 :/ unsure) try re-fashing back to original firmware and see what happens

thanks guys will try it today the incorrect key idea surelly it would`nt play back-ups either if the key is wrong
does any1 have a firmware they recommend i shuld try as im only using toolbox v3.0 which comes with the firmware

Sorry didn't read the part about back-ups working....it's a laser issue (tweak laser or replace it) - as far as I know the only other firmware for 78's is Maximus 1.5 (possibly 1.4 i'm not 100% sure)

another update to this issue is the fact its only gears of war original that does this i tried other originals and they work fine bloody prob is that the guy i was selling it to had a gears of war original already :-(

Then tell him it's an issue with GOE originals and that firmware..........and back up his copy so he can play it lol..

i tried that but the guys fussy about it i would swap for my personal 1 but mines a samsung 25 and i love it :-)
