Hi all! As you can tell, im a little new to the xbox 360 mod scene. I have been doing mods for xbox1 for a few years now and it's time to step away from that. My first and only question is, how do I get my ms28 to be seen in Windows XP? The firmware im using is X52a.bin. and I am receiving a VIA chipest PCI card in a few hours. ( I got this one  http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16815124022) I was told that since I have the x52a.bin firmware on my ms28 all I needed to do was connect it to my VIA SATA connector and boot into windows. Is it really that easy?

Thanks for all your help! Cool

Pretty much, but you have to burn the 0800 enable disc first. Then put that in the drive and boot into windows.

Right on Stoner....thanks for the help. I do have the 0800 disk burned now so i'll wait until my card comes. I'll get back to my post here as soon as it's done.

Hi guys! I posted a few hours ago and I finally got my VIA 6421 SATA PCI card. I installed it, booted into windows and installed the drivers. Did msinfo32 and it shows up along with my onboard Sil 3132 chipset. After the install, I turned off both the PC and XBOX 360, loaded the 0800 disk for about 20 seconds, took it out and tried to boot into Windows. It gets to the loading screen and freezes. I tried both SATA ports on the card and same issue. I also placed it into other PCI ports and same issue. If I turn off the 360, it will boot into windows. Is it my other SATA chipset (Sil 3231) that is causing this? Any help would be great.

Thanks!

PS. I have burned the 0800.iso on both a DVD+r DL and on a CD-r.
