Ahead.Nero.Micro.Multilanguage.v8.3.6.0

I had a full version of 9.0.9.4 before this, that didn't work either.

Is there a way for me to tell XBC where NeroAPI.dll is?

I didn't find any mention of it via search, so I thought that I'd share that the newest version of XBC runs just fine under Windows 7 Beta.  For me, at least.

Ah good to hear on Windows 7 and xbc.

With the nero dll, it is a COM object that is registered into Windows. The COM system mechanisms read the windows registry to get the location of the dll if it has been registered.  The Highest Nero I have used is 8.1.1.4 so Im a little behind.  I'll try to find someone to test for me or maybe I can get a new nero myself to see if something has changed or if its your setup.

Redline, could you add an option to check for AnyDVD corruption when ripping as well as an option to warn if AnyDVD is running on the selected drive?
Thanks as always for the great software!

Or you could just turn off AnyDVD before ripping?

thank you both for your insightful responses. I personally would love to see all of the abgx stealth checks run by the ripper as the rip is done. Just hoping to add some safeguards in case I forget to turn AnyDVD off, which I have many rips were I did just that...

Sorry, I try and not be a snot, sometimes it just happens.

My point was, ABGX is great for checking the images, because you have no other way of knowing if AnyDVD was running at the time of ripping or not.  It's needed.  There are other ways of checking whether or not AnyDVD is running right now.  So it's not needed, just a handy feature.  I, too, forget things.

Perhaps not checking for the actual corruption, but checking whether or not AnyDVD is enabled, would be less difficult to program in.  If XBC and ABGX both had command line parameters to automate their processes, you could accomplish the same thing by yourself with a simple .bat file.

That I think would be a good suggestion.  XBC doesn't support any command line parameters, does it?

2.8 is actually pretty old now and doesn't have any updates that address the above issues/lazyness

When the update of XBC will be released? Current version can't work with iXtreme 1.6 flashed Samsung, BenQ in 0800 mode normally and it can't work with iXtreme 1.6 flashed Lite-on... Sad

Xbox Backup Creator v2.9 Build:0306
>> >> A XBC Release intended to handle the new iXtreme 1.6 0800 mode firmwares
Removed - Support for previous Xtreme ripping firmwares
Removed - Stealth Check Buttons - Use agbx360
Changed - Stealth Check Report - PFI Wave X Date match removed
Changed - Named check mark on options tab as "ISO Check"
to reflect it is not a "Stealth Check" anymore
Added - Ability to lock game partition before ripping
Added - Ability to detect iXtreme firmware spoofing
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 Samsung
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 BenQ
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 Liteon
Added - Support for iXtreme 1.6 Hitachi
(Note: Hitachi is untested and awaiting a firmware release)

Due to an issue that affects the Liteon ix16 it is advised that you start
XBC without a DVD in the drive.

*** NOTE ***
This build of XBC does not support older Xtreme ripping firmwares
(Kreon drives are still supported though). Stealth Checking verbiage/intent removed, XBC only does limited checking. Use abgx360(info) at http://abgx360.net for more thorough Stealth Checking

Thanks for the update!

Does this change the way rips are done on a Kreon drive? Redline99, are old rips any less safe? Are there concerns with ripping method regarding SSv2 or SSv3??

Kreon rips are done the same as they have always been.  SSv1, SSv2, etc. are c4eva implementation versions and are backwards compatible.  Kreons are a variant of SSv1 that emulates some timing values, but have sofar been ok to use.

I have a spare drive that I could use in 0800 mode with iXtreme 1.6. Is that safer then the kreon drive?
