freshing my july v0078fk ~~~ please help!!

first of all , i have a via 6421a pic sata controller card. 
i connect my 78drive to my via card and boot slax2.1. open tray while it said spinning disk....  go into mode B with no problem. restart computer and open and close tray while i see the window loading bar.  after i put a original xbox game into the drive . Windows detected.  after this i open my toolbox3.0 and hit the "raw dump as" ,, then the toolbox has freeze , i have to restart my computer. 

so in this case, any 1 can give me ideal what to do ?  I have read alot of forums. please help ~~~
