the "read/write" timings are differend and also the power supply.

mx25l2005  ->  3,3V
willem support only 5V SPI

We using this programmer (this programmer can only program all kinds of Serial EEPROMs)

Iīm thinking about the problem of adaptation  c4evar ixtreme at phillips vad due different drive key locations.  I not share if ixtreme  one  address  drive key fix can help MS to detect frashed drives.

Well, its a case of either,

A) Having multiple firmwares like the hitachi fw and the app that patch's them checks for the correct version and patch's the correct hacked firmware

B) Using just one version

if you do not know how to repair this it's not worth my time ive done over 20 this way now without a problem as team mod mentioned not for noobs, to fix your problem simply dremel the silicon above pin 1 and re connect trace to pad fix your problem ive worked in this industry for years i am not just a fly by night modder, this would be the correct way to do this mod not a hack and slash job team mod has found the solution which is great it just is not neat.

Twenty in a few days, damn thats pretty good.  I was by no means bitching about messing up the flash.  It was a warning to those who may think it is easier BUT have a lot of value in their drive (IE: a non-usable system if they mess it up).  This drive was purchased with the intention of testing and is not out of a particular console.  It will be fixed - i'll simply get a new/replacement flash from another device.

Caster.
sorry if i came across as a bit of a idiot, few late nights and busy days Sad good that it's not from a console Smiley anyways on with the show, i will state again for everyone else to use team mods method if your unsure of your soldering skills things do and will go wrong even for pro's were only human, it is an easy way to do it if you do know your stuff but it can also turn into a nightmare if things go wrong.

Aight, sorry to be a n00b, but can I get some very important questions answered please.

1) Does either one of C4E's Xtreme and iXtreme firmware work for Benq drives? Isnt each firmware specially made for each drive? different codes, different operating firmware etc?

2) Does there exist a hacked firmware for Ben Q/Phillips that you can use with Maximus Toolbox 4.0 after getting the dvd-key?

3) What SATA chipset does seem to work with both BenQ/Phillips and the other dvd-drives? Like i.e. if you got 2 sata chipsets in your computer that together supports both TS, and all hitachi drives, will one of them work with BenQ/Phillips?

Love to get a nice comback on this, writing a newsreport on this flashing/reading guide, but need something more to make it usable..

Existing firmwares for the other drives do NOT work with the Benq drive, and there is currently no hacked firmware for the Benq.  However, you can extract the key from the Benq firmware and insert it into a hacked firmware for one of the other drives while also spoofing your Benq in the firmware.  There's another post regarding this earlier in the thread.  caster420 stated earlier that he was able to use his Via VT6421 chipset with the Benq, so that chipset supports every drive.

Aight thanks, but one thing, does VT6421 support all kinds of xbox 360 drives? Ive tried it with old type hitachi (35-59) but it doesnt work.. Im trying to set up a computer that supports all kinds of 360 dvd-drives, and as of this moment it supports Toshiba Samsung MS25 and MS28, want it to support 0078fk/standard hitachis as well..

The computer I mainly use does ofcourse support 0078/79fk/all hitachis and TS, as it has 3 different sata setups inside (2integrated and 1 pci card) , but Im really tired of turning it off and on again all the time..

any ideas?

Isnīt there any possibility to get the drive in flash mode without cutting or soldering on the pins from the drive Huh

Shouldnīt there be any command or something to get the drive flashable ??

Yes, I'm sure during the many months of research nobody bothered looking for such a command. After all its so much easier to modify the hardware  Roll Eyes
If it was a easy as issuing a "set flashable = true" don't you think somebody would have mentioned it by now? I'm not saying there will never be a software-only solution (see MS-28 trick) but your post is just ignorant to the devs that have put so much work into this hack.

Hey guys how about a link or send me a message for a fw for sammy that has been
correctly spoofed for an 64390c.  I'm spoofed but I keep getting e66.  And I know the key
is at C030.  Only key that gives me an error 66.  Everything else boots to dashboard.

Did you hack it first and then spoof it? or spoof it first and then hack it..

I got E66 if I spoofed and then hacked.. its important to hack it first, prepare the firmware totally included dvd-key before at all spoofing..

Good luck..

No, sorry it shouldnīt have meant this what you think...
I am only affraid of making something wrong and i am thinking if i should wait for a software solution or give this methode a try.....

I really have total respect of the guys who found out how to do this... must be really difficult to find out ...sorry if you thought it is ignorant
