DVD ROM Burning Advice Needed

Hi all, this is my first posting on this site so I apologies in advance if I get it wrong. I am in the process of backing up my 360 games because my kids keep damaging the originals. I have used Xbox Backup Creator V2.3 to create the backups (iso images) and my DVD drive is a Samsung SH-D162C with the appropriate filmware. What would be the most appropiate DVD drive +(DVD's) and Burning software to complete this task with a high degree of realiability. Does anything have to be done to the 360 to play these backups? I have Nero on my system.

I have read through various posting and am just getting more confused!
