msi 865pe m/board with intel chipset, i disconnect everything apart from floppy and sammy , picks up sammy no problem in bios , when i goto use mtkflash it says
1 ich5 pri master ,
2 ich5 pri slave
i choose 1 then it says
port 1f0, master/slave :a0,
flash type :"sst(sst39sf020)"
err: fail to open input file!
then xbox power button starts flashin ,thats it ,
have i got right sata , if so what am i doing wrong
err: fail to open input file! means it can't find the firmware on your floppy, recheck your typing |

yes i did finally i dumped my f/w and now i hexed it to the other firmware now to flash to my drive,i have no dl disc at the min so how will i know if it worked will it boot any xbox 1 backup of my games or do i have to use the same mothed to make 360 games.

Insert an original xbox360 game and see if it works. If it does, then insert a copy of an xbox1 game and see if it recognizes it as a game. If it plays originals and it recognizes an xbox1 game dvd as a game, then you should be good to go. |

sorted it plays the org 360 game and when i put backup of one of my xbox1 games it rec as a real game but cant play need to update somthing but yeah sorted big thank you to everyone who has taken time out to help me and not flame me
i have seen around updates to play verious xbox1 games will this work on getting xbox1 games to work or just use the method for 360 games.

I just like to start with the obvious stuff before getting more complicated... check the floppy isnt full...ie you used a big bootfile. MAke a floppy in windows if it is that. |

If you played a little more with the drive, you should know that mtkflash can flash directly the drive PCB without motor or other stuff (video cable?!?!?! LOL), just the main PCB, anyway if mtkflash says it can't open the imput file, it means it can't open the imput file.

The xbox turns itself off if the vcable is not plugged in...can you still flash it with no power to the xbox? I didnt know that! |

Never used console to power the drive, anyway if it says file not found it means file not found, there is nothing more to look for

You need to download xbox360 compatability update from xbox.com and burn it to a disc to update the xbox1 compatiability for xbox360. This new update allows over 200+ games to be run on the Xbox360. And for those who are wondering, I did this update last night and it DID NOT affect my hacked 360. |

I've done some searching on here and can't find anyone else that mentions TS-H943 f/w ms19 h/w 003 ver. A. August 2005. The chip does have epoxy. The drive was purchased as a single item off the internet. Has anyone else come across this drive? http://www.uploadfile.info/uploads/e16ebac7c1.jpg |

try this: Download 360AutoFlash v1][url=http://www.bestsharing.com/files/ms00152867/360AutoFlashv1.rar.html]Download 360AutoFlash v1[/url] its a bootable usb stick 360 autoflasher...let me know if it gives you any problems. You can delete isobuilder in the package to fit it on small keys. |

hi there ,ive got a m5283 SATA/RAID Controller Card my pc detects the samsung drive but when i try to use mtkflash it just hangs or drive not found ,when i put mtkflash r orig.bin it says Port: 1f0, Master/slave: b0 and just hangs.

like I said countless times before: if it's not intel or nforce 3, you HAVE TO edit your mtkflash to be able to even see the sata chipset.
