anyone successful doing it with this method as opposed to opening the the dvd drive and physically swapping the discs?

it is listed as a method, but does not work in either of my drives (sony DRU-510a latest firmware, and sony CRX300E cd-rw/dvd drive)

i get the redundancy error everyone else gets. wondering if other people are able to do it via this method

some drives will not lift the laser unit back up fully after pushing the disk tray in manually. there's nothing you can do about that.
