Hello people! i have a hitachi flashed with "Birdy_Hitachi-LG_friendly_Flasher_v2.2_with_Xtreme_v1.3_and_2.0" and just before the update they just realease now in january 2007 everything was working fine, now that my dashboard has been updated, my xbox keeps freezing, but first comes a beep then freezes. Anyone have this problem? Do you think its a overheating problem? Help please...

same thing here man...
360 was FINE from launch until this UPDATE...
first it started with screen going black in COD3
then the "beep" and freeze with white lines on the screen in Gears
then it wouldnt even make it past the startup animation without the graphics going wonky
now it's 3 red lights and error code 0102
JUST a coincidence? not so sure...been seeing some posts on xbox scene with the same prob after the update

Um for the Hitachi (pre 78) OPA 2.3 rev_2 is the best and latest firmware to use...1.6 is for the 78's...if your getting 0102 it's not from the firmware hack you applied, both of you try the heat gun fix

hope it works out better for you guys than me.. first box lasted 3 days, second box lasted 9 hr after I applied the fix, new thermal paste, and 3 new fans to push more air around.
To me it don't seem to be an overheating problem.. there wasn't a damn hot spot on that console compared to what it ran like before it started freezing/glitching and becoming a general whore.
Time to get new 360s
