Well, thats the flashrom if thats what you are looking for. There are plenty of posts with information regarding removing it, although I am not quite sure why you would want to at this point.

here is a tip from robinsod. Tip: remove the epoxy with a hot iron, be very careful not to damage the tracks but do remove as much glue as possible from under the corners. Get the chips pins as clean as possible and run bead of solder along the pins on each side such that they are all 'bridged' together. Apply your iron to each side in turn until the solder holding the chip in place melts, there isn't a lot of glue under the chip and when it gets hot enough it lets go. After a minute or so the chip will simply fall off - no damaged tracks and with a little cleaning up the flash is reusable. I recommend you get some good solder wick or braid. Now the flash can be mounted on the back of the drive in a socket - see Darkfly's pictures of his excellent setup in the original thread, thats what we're aiming for (if you do damage a track there's also a picture of the PCB with the tracks, and handy vias, with the signals labelled). This is still a bad idea if you're not 100% sure what you're doing and/or would be unhappy selling your 360 as "faulty" on Ebay I used my 25watt iron with a standard tip to try to remove the epoxy from my flash and did remove most of it except from the bottom of the chip around the pins. I ended up lifting a tons of traces from the chip but was able to dump my flash so as to save my key. I got a replacement drive from the links provided on the thread here on the board. The TS-H943A i got from them didn't have epoxy/glue on it. i used ChipQuik (Link http://www.emulation.com/catalog/off-the-shelf_solutions/lab&rework/chipquik.html) which is a low melting point solder that stays liquid for a while after heated to remove its flash. I then mounted a PLCC socket on the board and reflash my orginal bois. now i have a socketed working drive. I hope i have been of help

i bought a $45 willem from sivava.com (link to one i bought http://www.sivava.com/Product_A04.htm). the core $45 package has a PLCC socket that can read/write the 39SF020A without problem. I got several adapters with mine as well for various other projects that required them. also they are located in thailand so it took about 10 days for it to arrive to me in the states.

no you don't have to get a samsung again. you will have to be able to read the contents of your flash out to get the key for your samsung though. you can then write this key into the firmware of the hitachi drive and it will work with your 360

The programmer comes with a CD and all you need is on that CD. Meanwhile I suggest you to read the big thread and start with xbox1 before you mess with your 360...

Yes I mean start by modding the xbox1 DVD FW... btw I have modded more than 1000 xbox and that didn't help in anyway... here is the big thread http://www.xboxhacker.net/index.php?option=com_smf&Itemid=33&topic=76.0
