Hey.

Eh, today I upgraded my drive.. All was ok but when I flashed it, i had floppy error (error reading drive A:).

Ok, now i tried recover my drive but 10 sec method don't work Sad I got error:
MTKFLASH Error=80 should be 70 or MTKFLASH Error=00 should be 70...

My chipset is VT6421A, and drive is MS28.. What should I do? Sad
Is there any ohter method to recover it exept desolder flash?

If its already been flashed you need to use the bootup disk to get it flashing again.

Mtkflash will only work the ONCE, the first time you flash your Drive

After that you need to use the boot cd

the 10 second trick doesn't have to be 10 seconds lol just the guy who discovered it decided to wait 10 seconds. Basically you have to power up the drive at the same time you try to flash and read it. If you've done it correctly you will not hear the laser assembly move. If you hear the drive make a noise you haven't done it correctly. If the drive doesn't make a noise then you just turn it off, select your port, then turn it on whenever you want.

The key is to not hear the laser drive move--kinda like a ehwk sound.

Sounds exactly the same thing I said on a different thread :p - use Xtreme boot maker (detect i/o port etc) then apply bokes ms28 patch - when you boot up - turn on 360 and pc at the same time, let the floppy load, mtkflash /sata /r /m orig.bin (making orig.bin - note if you do not use the /sata command the drive will not be picked up) or mtkflash /sata /m /w hacked.bin (apply the hacked.bin to the chip) then once it gets to Xtreme Primary Master (if it also has Secondary master that's ok) turn off the 360, turn it on again but at the same time you turn it on (one finger on 360 the other on the number 1 key on the keyboard) hit 1..it will read or flash etc Wink
