Many months ago I bought a SIL chipset driven PCI/SATA card..  I could never get it to work with my Samsung MS25 DVD drive and now it seems as if the new 0079 Toolbox 3.0 does not support SIL.. What card should I buy..

From my understanding using Slax 2.0 you have to manually restart your computer to get the drive reconignized within Windows.  I don't have a restart button on my computer.  I know that there is a reboot command within Slax 2.0, but again am not sure if that works or not.

So what I need is a PCI/Sata card that does both Samsung and Hitachi and would like to know if the internal reboot command works..

You should buy a VIA VT 6241A PCI Sata card, you'll never have problems with ANY drive Wink

Another question that I had was about the Slax Cd.. Do you have to manually restart the computer with a retart button to get the drive to be seen in Windows or will the simply reboot function within Slax do the trick?

You might have to log in first with root for the  username, then toor for the password
then type reboot and it works fine.
