Totally agree. It took my drive 2 weeks to come. The first week they didn't even send it out. They also told me they were out of stock and I Canceled it but they did call back luckly saying they had one left for me. I would just wait for the hitachi hack if i were you and get a hitachi. They both use the same laser so there is basicly no benifts for samsung vs hitach.
HAHAHAH!! they said the EXACT same thing to me about saving one left, she went as far as to say that she had it in her hands while I was talking with her... Yea I would get the hitachi, becuase last time I looked it was cheaper... is there another place with a hitachi in stock? I wouldnt mind going from another company... hey atleast it sounds like yers came in working .

Does anybody have any idea if anybody else sells the sammy's. I just want one to put in my pc so I can copy games easily without having to open the 360 every time. And I dont want to hack up the case just to have a wire hang out of it either.

My thoughts exactly. I did some research on research on Philips DVD drives is they have used MTK chipsets in the past. If I had some money to spare this month I would drive down to etech4sale wherehouse and pick one up. philips WTF!
Also Orion Pax, I am almost certain you can dump the security sector using a Hitatchi drive. WXRipper should get you everything else you need to create a backup.

I've just ordered a Hitachi drive from stussy to replace my burnt out Samsung (dodgy Connectivity kit!!). It says on his site that all his hitachis are now shipped as version 078 so as to fool the recent fall update... my question is, is how do i get my samsung key (which obviousley i have backed up) into the drive if there are no software tools that support extracting / flashing 078?

I've got replacement 040 drives in stock -- HERERegards Stuart I ordered a replacement laser from you just now for my Hitachi that has probs reading originals and even dvd movies. Thanks! At first I looked at mr modchips from thailand but then I read about their political business practices so I looked elsewhere! I couldnt find your store on google but I searched here.
