I was reading through some topics on other forums and looking at different model DVD drives and notice that some drives are able to read data from the leadout area  of a disc.

Would it be possible to use one of these drives to read from FD021E as FuzzyLogic did, but without modifying the firmware of the drive?

The best thing i can think off is insert a disc with a fake toc (large) and swap from there but i doubt its possible or if you get the whole ss

Well, to start with, which drives are you talking about? And no, hotswapping won't work because the security sector is always in the lead-out no matter what.

Well, the topic of discussion in the threads I was reading was mostly about CD-RW drives and not DVD, so I got a little ahead of myself with this topic. Most of the ones mentioned were Plextor brand; Something about the offset being greater than normal.

My searches to turn up a DVD drive model with this capability have been fruitless, so I am not quite sure if they even exist.
